This version is terrible. Every day is different. Will not download. Asks me to subscribe again or re activate/reset or freezes up. I have deleted and downloaded app at least 6 times. Fix this!!!!

Application has been dysfunctional for a number of days, no way to select titles, the main publications screen remains empty, company not even aware of it, nothing working despite having notified company, no response. Complete rubbish

I use this app every day and it is generally reliable. At times it acts up and doesnt let me send off copies of articles to myself without signing in - but it is infrequent. If this was not an issue I would have given this an easy 5 stars

I have been using this app over the past 4+ years and I am very pleased with it. Whenever I had question about the app, I received prompt service and excellent help!

Great selection of papers. Really like the copy of the actual paper not some internet version. A few issues with trying to share articles by email. Sometimes doesnt work at all or often truncated paragraphs. Otherwise reading experience is excellent.

Customer service has responded quickly to issues I have raised.

Straight forward in terms of usage, and the newspapers download fast.

Great app. Works great with my iPad. You see the total paper the same a print. No ink on your hands. Papers you have subscribed to download easily. You can look at past papers as well. Also have access to many other free papers. You can expand pages to look at details on photos if you want to.

Update for latest version: The app is working well for me now. However, the storage issues are profoundly annoying. I will set the papers to delete after 7 days, however, they seem to remain on the iPad (invisible) and take up space. Even when I manually delete all the papers with the "Edit" option in the app, they dont delete. I just deleted all the papers in the app, but it was still taking up 4.3GB! You have to uninstall and then re-install the app. All PressReader Daily paper apps seem to have this bug... Update for 3.1: The program continues to improve and is beautiful on the retina display. Love reading my newspaper daily! Occasional bugs like papers that dont have clickable stories or papers with all but first page blank are easily solved - simply delete the days paper and re-download. Updated for version 3.1.2: WHAT HAPPENED?? Whatever update they made, Im now getting constant freezing and crashing. Ive tried uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it, and re-downloading the content. It will freeze in the exact same place for the same newspaper, no matter what I do. For example, I noticed for the Ottawa Citizen, October 6 2012, it freezes constantly when flipping between pages 33 and 34. The app is now almost unusable, since you never know where/when it will freeze. FIX THIS! ===================== With 2.2, they finally fixed it! There are no more crashes, and reading runs smoothly without the choppiness of previous versions. BRAVO! This is now a must-have app for all who love the classic-style of their newspapers, but want to save money and paper! Update for 2.1: The program crashes less often, but still crashes regularly. In particularly, when I first load the program and there is a new paper in my subscription, it ALWAYS crashes once. I then reload and it works. Also, the highlighted clickable headlines dont always show up. That being said, I still use the app every day to read the newspaper - theres nothing else out there like it to mimic a true newspaper! -------------- Review of 2.0: I love the concept of this program - reading my newspaper on the iPad everyday is phenomenal. However, as buggy as v1.0 was, version 2 is far worse. The update corrupted my subscription record, necessitating a delete and reinstall. Not easy use the slow airport wifi before a trip! Once installed, the new version is very buggy. Transitions from landscape to portrait are choppy, and page turns sometimes freeze the screen for 3-4 seconds in mid-change. Worst of all, use of the page outline view at the bottom to switch to another section frequently crashes the program. I really love this program when it works, but the bugs are very annoying!

Use this program everyday..works amazing ..but tends to lag behind on Apple updates ...Apple Pencil works but has issues on some of the dialogue boxes ..

Great electronic service for reading newspapers. I rely on Press Reader every morning to read the news. First thing I do every morning after a sip of coffee is download the paper onto my Ipad Air Pro. After reading I dont have to look for a place to put the paper, and better yet i dont have any newspapers to take to the salvage/recycle depot. Press Reader has been there anytime I want an issue downloaded. Budd Manitoba, Canada

This is the only way to read a newspaper in the 21st century! Now if they could only make the cartoon dialog bubbles less blurry, it would be perfect.

If you are a person who loves newspapers this is the app for you.

This is a great portable newsstand for reading the papers & magazines. There is a global selection, not universal, but it is a good selection of dailies that I look for, along with magazines on topics of interest. For an avid browser/reader of newspapers & magazines this a good find. Where I am no longer able to stand at the bookstore/newsstand (and where there is a limited selection) I can use this at my leisure. There are the odd bugs, but it is updated regularly, and has had no issues for me on either of my devices (iPad & iPhone).

I havent had any problems with this app yet at all. Makes reading my local paper (Victoria, BC) much easier. Better than the Globe2Go version of the same app.

This is the best app but you have to subscribe to the service but worth it by all means! It works best with iPad not good with iPhone.

Without doubt one of the best apps for the iPad. You get to read newspapers from all over the world for $30 a month. Pretty good value if you ask me.

This is a very ambitious app, but one that constantly disappoints in its architecture: Sloppy and freeze-and error-prone downloading modes that are infuriating and show a lack of concern and respect for the user. PressReader has patently failed to deliver a trustworthy and satisfying package. The 1-star ratings received to date are well-deserved. My advice to the PressReader developers is that they should restyle the app from the bottom up to create an efficient vehicle worthy of their customers.
