This service has tons of Newspapers and Magazines from around the world. It has a pretty comprehensive selection from Spain and Denmark.

I’m still waiting for your answers after almost a year of “neg” for the South Bay Daily breeze or the San Diego union tribune, but nothing yet! Ve ry discouraging to the point that in consisidering canceling my subscription! DO Something!
This is a great app to read the news through the library or even through your own subscriptions. Love the easy to maneuver, formatting and highlighting of headlines. Also appreciate the ability to make the print larger and easier to see.
“ PressReader truly is a transcendental platform.”
Blah
I have started my day with the NY Times for at least 30 years and with PressReader from their very beginning in 2003. It is identical to the real har-copy newspaper but with several advantages: nothing to recycle, always on time, no weather delays, never wet, can save copies, can share articles, take it with you wherever. I cannot imagine living without it.
I read the NYTimes every day at 4AM on my iPad. I love that I can get it so early, have the “whole” paper, and enlarge as need be. Whenever I have contacted Press Reader Support, the response has been quick and helpful. I ❤️ Press Reader!
This app, in conjunction with my library, allows me to have the country and the world, literally whenever I want it. Not only US papers and magazines, but foreign assessment of the US at a critical time, makes this an amazing resource.
Look forward everyday to reading the Post👍
It doesn’t support all public library cards. My whole county system is not participating. Uninstalling.
Illegal comapny
I go through all the steps through selecting my library. Once I select my library, i press Sign In and nothing happens.
Hi, I can’t find where is the translation button
Why bother with curating all this press content when the experience of using the app is so frustrating? I am using the app through a subscription from my local library, and the app requires me to go through a lengthy login process every single time. After a few times of doing this, I realized that this is not a bug, it’s an intentional feature. It renders the app virtually unusable. Surely the developer can figure out how to make the app “remember“ the user from one session to the next, but apparently they don’t want to.
I subscribe to the Guardian Weekly through this but will not be renewing due to the unpleasant way the app works. I use a an ipad pro bot the content does not automatically fit the screen size which makes me constantly fiddle with zooming in and out. (See Financial Times digital edition app for how it should be done )
I love having the paper at my fingertips when I wake up. But sometimes the downloads are late, as is the delivery of my paper copy, and then I have NO paper at all. Otherwise, I think PressReader is great. September 13, 2017 Got my NY Times on my iPhone today but it will not download on my iPad. February 25, 2018 Still getting downloads late. Also, not able to access any saved articles. March 20, Still not seeing saved articles in My Collections. Dec 23, 2024 I used to be able to open My Library and get that day’s paper. NOw I also have to click on All Downloads to get the current paper.
Please change the narration setting to stop switching narrator voices every paragraph. It decreases continuity of the story and is distracting Otherwise a very good option to listen to news articles
I signed up for a 7 day trial with my Apple ID. I wanted to purchase a book and got a dialog that says if I purchase a book on Press Reader ON THE WEB then I can read a book in the app as long as I use the same credentials as the app. So I go to the web to learn I can’t Sign in with Apple. If the app takes users for granted like this it really doesn’t engender long term trust. There’s no doubt that oversight like this comes from using cut-rate developers and I imagine there are MANY other foibles in this platform that clearly has zero empathy for users and expects users to solve all of the developers technical debt. Sure I can sign up under a sign in that WILL WORK on the web but at this point I’ve burned an hour and already canceled my trial.
I subscribe to The New York Times (not through PressReader but from the paper itself. I use PressReader because the paper is the facsimile version and looks exactly like the print edition.) Until April 2024, my issues were downloaded automatically to my iPhone and iPad. Now I only receive the paper on my iPhone and can’t access any back issues. Has PressReader started charging if you want to access a subscription on more than one device?
This app accuses me of taking screenshots when I HAVEN’T been doing that at all!! And then bans me from reading a publication I’ve had access to for along time!! This has happened in the past with bad advice from the tech idiots at Pressreader!! Now update on 4/22/24. Pressreader is now preventing me from downloading thru my library account on my ipad even tho i csn do it on my iphone. Support asked for a screenshot of what i am trying to do but i cant upload it due to limits on attachments to my email.
Reported this and the vendor suggested creating an account on the website. If they can’t make Apple ID work, they shouldn’t have it as an option. App deleted. Will look for alternatives.
Good app
There are some features that make this pretty annoying to use. The biggest to me is library access…why do I need to type in my library card number every time I try to use this? Super annoying! Learn from an app like Libby that can actually remember this information. You sure can remember asking for payment every time I open the app.
I tried to purchase a paper through the app. It took the payment but I can’t use the paper, it just wants me to pay again when I try to view it. Nowhere on the app is a method to contact the app company for problems or support either.
still asking me to subscribe.couldn't download more issues. sorry i can't open the page that you answer me back.
Will not let my login with my library card work
Great app with some tech issues that make it unusable. Why do I have to reauthorize multiple times per week? Why does that Auth often fail with "library unavailable". Much room for improvement.
I’ve had this app for years. I go through cycles where it’s unable to download the newspaper. I work with tech support trying their ideas. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. It’s a huge pain.
In the last month, it has become unusable. Downloaded issues disappear and have to be downloaded again. Cannot be used when offline. Formerly, you could download an issue to be read when in an airplane or elsewhere without WiFi. Now, an issue previously downloaded might be gone and unavailable until one has internet access and can download again. I contacted the developers. They have done nothing (for weeks) to fix it. Do not subscribe. You won’t have reliable access to any publications you might purchase.
Every time I open the app it requires me to login? Insanely inconvenient behavior for an app for reading daily news!
Just like the iPad and iPhone apps, this just works. I've been a pay-as-you-go and Hotspot Hog for at least five years. Finally tried the all-you-can-eat trial and I'm hooked. I just wish they supported family users with seperate profiles so my wife and I can share and still be under the five device limit.
I cannot read, download, or do anything. Not even manage my account. So then, what is the point of this app? Browsing on the web is quite annoying, cant see everything full screen and the app is very useless.
can’t filter out titles you know you don’t want to see.
Downloaded this to read magazines from my local library. Tried for 15 minutes to sign in to my library but it doesn’t show in the list and the app insisted on showing libraries in Europe & India (I’m in the USA). Tried to sign back in with my email address and it won’t allow me to type in my email address. Truly one of the worst apps I’ve downloaded in years.
This app won’t let me change accounts from one library to another. After signing out and inputting all the information for another library (card), it defaults back to the original card from originally library. So I can’t read other titles that are offered from another library. Users with issues simply get a boilerplate robo reply.
I try press reader every 6 months but result doesn't change. It's a great idea but most of the magazines are missing; Wired, The New Yorker, Harvard etc.
Confusing app. No matter what I press on it just demands I buy something. I can’t even get to an article to see how it works first. No thank you, greedy annoying app. No at all what I am looking for.
I had a problem with the app on my iPad and emailed customer support. Got an immediate response and Bryan worked with me until the problem was solved. Love PressReader!
Loaded this free app per instructions at the Air Canada lounge since they don’t have any magazines anymore. Nothing but glitches and frozen screens. Only 1 or 2 of the dozen magazines I downloaded will open up and the whole app freezes about every 4-5times I try to use it. I deleted the app and all data on my iPad 3 times but still the same glitches. Says I’m on a free trial but maybe you have to pay to get the mags to open? Piece of junk.
I just spent 45 minutes trying to get the software to give free access to content, based on being in an airline lounge that specifically allows it. I three times made sure it’s the correct hotspot, reinstalled the software a second and third time, checked all network settings with another phone that did give access, disabled cellular access, did a cold iphone restart. Bottom line - no luck. What a waste of time.
If you can not offer some sources anymore, you should send us a message to let us informed. For example, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal have gone, you should send a message to readers. If you are afraid of loosing readers, you should try to improve your service instead of hiding these important changes.
Press Reader is an unethical company. They bought News360, accepted paid subscription and shut down news aggregator service for over two months Before announcing that News360 was no longer viable . Next offering a new subscription service and an absolute kings ransoms - Buyer beware - Be honest , do good , don’t be deceptive scum
To view the nyt need to purchase an expensive monthly subscription. And even with this subscription, the nyt won’t allow you to view its web version to view breaking news.
The same PressReader login credentials for desktop web browser not working for mobile IOS app
Very dependable site. If you desire timely access to most of the worlds best (and worst) print content, this is for you. Try Press Reader. At pennies a day, it is an unbelievable bargain.
Used it for less than a month started asking me to resubscribe while i am already a premium subscriber 30 dollars is a lot to ask for plus they don’t have all the content to justify the price Reduce the price apple new+ is a perfect example
You know how they say, some people should never…we’ll some developers should not attempt to do UI on their own. On what planet would one ever use the first character of a word to start a search. That has got to be 2 to the n in possibilities. This app may please some people, but I’m deleting it to not propagate stupidity.
I enjoyed this app immensely when I could read the LA Times through it. About a month ago, access to the paper disappeared. Why? Now I don’t have any reason to use PressReader.
It is so hard to get the publications I want to read! Ug!
